The use of extremely thin needles inserted into the skin to relieve tension in the muscles and pain. Acupuncture balances the flow of energy or life force. This is usually done as a last resort to a serious and complex medical problem often used most to relieve pain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibility if an acupuncturist is to relieve pain and help treat illnesses when pills or other treatment don’t work. They are responsible for not hurting the patient during an acupuncture session.

Education: undergraduate course classes, licensed chiropractor or medical doctor , must complete 60 credits in college before a three year program in acupuncture.

Reflection: I personally don’t think I would like to become an acupuncture professional because I would feel like im hurting the patient rather than treating them.
