Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving day

Plymouth colonist were the first inspiration to Thanksgiving, after the winter of 1620killed almost half their people. They came to good relationship with their neighboring tribe the Wampanoag, who taught them how to fish, hunt, and plant. By 1621 they had both collected enough food to feed the community and gathered up for a three day feast which was known as the first thanksgiving. In 1777 the continental congress decreed that all 13 of American colonies would celebrate a day to give thanks.

Reflection:  12 things I am thankful for.

  • My family’s health.
  • Being on track to graduate.
  • Having baby Jay healthy and growing.
  • Having Jhonny who is there regardless of what is going on.
  • Having Nancy who is more than just a friend she is like a sister to me, she’s family.
  • For having my dad around and understanding whats going on.
  • Im thankful that even though I practically lost my mom I have been able to move forward with my life and instead of being depressed and sad it has made me a stronger person.
  • im thankful for making it through another year
  • for having Yair healthy and growing and stronger than ever.
  • Im immensely grateful that  I met so many wonderful people who help me strive for nothing but the best.
  • Im thankful that I have a place to live, food to eat, and that I have what I need for daily living.
  • Im thankful  for those who I lost and never came back because it made me realize that im in this alone if I fall I have myself to pick me pack up, dust myself off and continue my life.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a day to thank those brave soldiers both male and female, for risking their lives to save our country. Their lives are nothing but horrifying living in trenches and getting bombed at any point during the day. Some make it out of war alive and others don’t, we still are grateful and appreciative of all they do and the pain they go through for us.

Reflection: I have a cousin of mine in the navy and she loves her job, she gets to travel on the boat for missions and she comes back home a happy camper telling her stories of how life is in the navy. She is an inspiration to my family and I love her dearly.
