im not really sure what he means by this but in guessing he's trying to say that when you obey the rules and choose the right your life is great.

When you have obedience towards what others say you don't only feel good but you also seem to be happier and less stressed out because now you don't have to worry about the consequences of not obeying. you are able to stay happy, worry free, and stress free. the more you obey the more you earn in return.  

Obedience

Obedience is listening to those who have authority, following rules given to you my anyone with major authority than yours or others.

Synonyms: respect, willingness, & compliance

Examples: my father will always have obedience from my part because of the authority he has, he has always been a great father.
