9/11 is a day that people will always remember; on September
11th of 2001 at 9:03am shock an fear in New Yorkers and such tough
state was now in serious crisis. An airplane from united airlines with 65
people aboard and going 590 miles crashes into the top at the south tower and
only stays standing for 56 minutes. So many people hurt physically and
emotionally they had family and friends working in the twin towers, about 200
fire fighters dead and 76 police officers missing. The person responsible for
all this is a terrorist group called Al Qaeda which hijacked three planes all
with passengers in them. The main target was the world trade center in New York
City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. there was also a fourth plane that
crashed into a Pennsylvania field.
The twin towers had been around since April 04, 1973: it was
the world trade center standing at 1,368 feet. The south trade center offered
an indoor and outdoor observation for the public while the north tower was more
off limits to the public. On a normal weekday there was 50,000 people working
and 200,000 people visiting, the complex of the twin towers was so big it had its
own zip code.
Reflection: I had not seen footage of this tragic moment and
as I was watching it I got goose bumps. seeing how people were devastated to loose family, friends, and acquaintance. As I watched the videos all I think of was what I would have done if that was my family and loved once . . .
